Our beef is a reflection of our deep passion for stewardship of animals, ecosystems, and communities

Our beef is:

  • 100% grass fed, grass finished, and pastured in Southern Colorado. Our cattle are born and raised on our ranch, and processed locally by small processors.

  • Ultrasound-tested for marbling and tenderness

  • Humanely raised

  • Audubon Society Bird Friendly

  • Produced regeneratively, to sustain life above ground and in the soil, sequester carbon, maintain a healthy watershed, and support our local human communities

  • We believe that to be truly “regenerative,” agriculture must sustain not only animal and plant ecologies, but human communities as well. Through producing our beef, we strive to nourish our soils, preserve our natural resources, provide habitat to wild flora and fauna, and support the rural community to which we belong.

  • We see our beef as a happy byproduct of our primary mission; stewarding our soil, water, air, plants, and animals (wild and domestic). We adhere to certified organic practices, meaning we use no synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides. Through maintaining a healthy, vibrant, and complex natural system, we naturally end up with delicious and nourishing beef for you to enjoy!

  • Our Angus herd has been bred for decades to thrive in the high steppe of the San Luis Valley year round, eating an exclusive diet of native grasses, forbs, shrubs, and hay.
